Jacob H. Rooksby
Jacob H. Rooksby is Dean of the University of Richmond School of Law. Prior to joining Richmond in 2026, Rooksby served as Dean of Gonzaga University School of Law for eight years and on the faculty at Duquesne University School of Law for six years. Licensed to practice law in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Washington, Rooksby has practiced IP law with McGuireWoods LLP, Dentons Cohen & Grigsby, and FIG. 1 Patents, PLLC. He holds J.D., M.Ed., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Virginia, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the College of William & Mary.
