Carmela Pollock

Carmela Pollock is a devoted wife and mother who actively supports a number of organisations and institutions to provide support to mental health caregivers in Australia. Born in Melbourne Australia, she graduated from Melbourne University with a degree in Social Sciences. She worked as an Information Technology Consultant for over 20 years specialising in project and change management.

Her story as a mental health advocate traverses nearly two decades caring for her husband with depression. Her experiences as a carer, have inspired her to establish ‘A Black Dog About the House’, an initiative that encourages and uplifts carers supporting loved ones through their mental health journey.
