Athol Williams

Athol Williams is a South African activist scholar and award-winning author of eighteen books.

He is the first person to earn five master’s degrees from five global top ranked universities. In addition to a bachelor’s degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Williams holds master’s degrees from MIT Sloan School of Management, London Business School, the University of Oxford, Harvard University and the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Over 100 of his poems have been published in literary journals and anthologies worldwide.

Williams is the founder of the Institute of Social & Corporate Ethics and co-founder of Read to Rise, an NGO that promotes youth literacy. He has held executive positions in financial services, mining and management consulting companies. His contributions to social development and literature have been recognised by the Western Cape government, the City of Cape Town and LeadSA.
