John Waupsh

John Waupsh is a renowned speaker at top fintech and banking conferences. With one hand in community banking and the other in fintech, he is well-regarded for balancing straight-talk consultation with research-backed ideation.

For 20+ years, John Waupsh has pioneered financial technology. In 2019, John co-founded the business banking platform Nerve, which was acquired by Manifest Financial in 2024, and today, he is Chief Strategy Officer of the embedded banking and payments platform for creators.

Prior, as Chief Innovation Officer at Kasasa, he led product, R&D, and usability for a suite of branded accounts and loans offered exclusively at over 800 banks and credit unions to millions of consumers nationally. His work helped Kasasa nab four Finovate “Best of Show” titles, recognition in Fast Company’s “10 Most Innovative Companies in Finance,” standing in the FinTech Top 100, as well as several MarCom Awards.
