Shelley A. Kirkpatrick

Dr. Shelley A. Kirkpatrick is a recognized authority on organizational agility as well as organizational vision statements. She is a Principal at The MITRE Corporation, a not-for-profit organization that operates research and development centers for the federal government. She is the founder of Visiontelligence LLC (www.visiontelligence.com), where she helps company leaders create truly inspirational vision statements. Using a unique set feedback tools called VisionPlex®, she enables company leaders to develop and implement compelling vision statements.

She also serves as an adjunct professor at George Mason University. Dr. Kirkpatrick has been a visiting professor of organizational behavior at Carnegie Mellon University and The American University’s Kogod School of Business. She holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from the Smith School of Business, University of Maryland at College Park, and a B.S. in Psychology from Bowling Green State University.

She is a master black belt in taekwondo and lives in Northern Virginia with her husband, two sons, and three dogs.
