Andrew Argyle has the look of someone who realised late in life that he actually loves writing books.

“Ah well, at least I have rather a lot of life experience on which to draw – makes it all a tad easier”, Andrew observed.

It all started with a single idea: what would we discover if we could test Jesus’ DNA? And so Sir Guy Sterling and his two thrillers were born.

And then another idea: could he write a crime novel with a challenging twist? Enter Mike Miller in “The Dreams that make us”.

And now the dystopian thrillers Destiny's Realm and its sequel, Destiny's Realm Revisited (April 2025).

Born in Tamworth, UK, rather too long ago as the son of a fourth-generation solicitor, Andrew followed the family tradition after being educated at Shrewsbury School and Birmingham University. However, after some 25 years in private practice, he morphed from managing partner into the wider executive management of lawyers.

“No lawyers have yet died in my books,” Andrew said. “But there’s still time…”

Andrew, who has four children, lives with his wife Kim in rural Lincolnshire. They are blessed to be surrounded by fields and animals, not least horses, ponies, hens, Labradors and cats.

Apart from writing and a strong faith, his passions are travel (particularly cruising), watching football and socialising with friends, especially when good food is involved.
