I was born in Hollywood in 1938 to a show girl dancer. Grew up in southwest Seattle in a shack behind my grandpas grocery store. We didn't have super markets in Seattle till right after WWII. I was working behind the counter some when I was 8 years old. In my early teens I knew the price of everything by heart. Grandpa died when I was 16 and I went to live at St Martins H S, college and Monastery till I was 18, and graduated. Worked commercial fishing in the Straights of Georgia where Canada meets Washington state for 3 months then, enlisted in the U S Air Force for 4 years the day after Labor Day, 1956. Spent 2 0f those years stationed on Okinawa right on the East China sea. I got discharged and married and had two beautiful daughters. After 4 years my wife divorced me and I wound up back in my home town of Seattle where I was in the trucking business as driver for 38 years. I am retired and living in south Texas and I have plenty of things to keep me busy. THE COOL APPLE EXPRESS is a non-fiction journal with the intentions of sharing my trucking career. I hope you enjoy it.
