Michael Layton

Michael Layton served for more than forty two years in the Police Service in the West Midlands Police, the Sovereign Bases Police in Cyprus, and the British Transport Police. He 'fell' into writing quite by accident some three years ago as a result of a text message, whilst on holiday in Kefalonia, and since then he has enjoyed working with a number of great people to co-author police related books, as well as writing his own material. In particular he has written about the problems of football violence in the UK, and Cyprus, as well as being involved in an exciting crime fiction project. He is the proud holder of the Queens Police Medal awarded in the New Years Honours List of 2003.
