R.J. Daniels

I've always been fascinated with storytelling, immersing myself in film and books from a young age. After college, I found myself on the set of numerous TV shows and movies as an extra, just to be a part of it. After starting a wonderful little family, my storytelling audience became two eager little cherubs, listening intently to the tall tales from their father.

I eventually jumped into the storytelling process from the writing side, authoring a string of feature length and short film screenplays. I experienced the thrill of connecting with a reader via the judges notes and was excited to do well in some of the most well respected screenplay competitions. I still serve as a screenplay contest reader and film judge for the Austin Film Festival. I'm now applying that same passion to novel writing and am furiously working to adapt many of those screenplays to the printed page. When I'm not writing, I'm spending time with my family, talking about writing.
