Robert Swanson

About The Author

Bob Swanson has been a stamp and postal history collector for 60 years. He started to specialize in First World War postal history in the early 1990's and published the first edition of the First World War Facilities Book in 2000. His first all-electronic published book was the Bluejacket monograph (history of Great Lakes in WW I), published in 2014.

While employed, Mr. Swanson was a software designer and programmer. In retirement he continues to collect and write on these subjects, as well as provide web services pro bono to collectors' organizations. The software used to create the 2014 and 2018 edition books was entirely his design and programming effort.

These books would not be possible without the patience (and editorial assistance) of Sandra Swanson, his wife of 40 years.
