Ken Kennett

Ken Kennett is a well-known Australian theatrical identity. He originally studied acting at The Central School of Drama, London and was subsequently given acting roles in a number of stage productions. He has since spent years adapting his theatrical experiences into writing and directing productions for children and young people. He has produced over fifty plays and musicals.

Ken was part of the foundation acting company of the Queensland Theatre Company. He also became the Director of the Westfield Super Juniors, a group of very successful young entertainers in Queensland. Ken co-founded the Fame Talent Agency, also based in Queensland.

Ken Kennett was a 2012 recipient of the Order of Australia for his contribution to the Theatre.

Gérard Maillé is originally from the port of Sète, a lively Mediterranean town in the south of France.

He studied art at the “Académie des Beaux Arts” in France, and from there his artistic pathway evolved.

In 1986 Gérard immigrated to Australia where he continued his artistic career. He studied graphic / commercial art and from there established his own graphic art business.

 

He later established another business called “Art on Walls”, which is his main occupation today.

 

Gerard’s many avenues of study in the art world have allowed him to develop a repertoire of artistic forms including commission paintings, murals and "trompe l'œil", traditional decorative finishes, and restoration of antiques and gilding.

An award winning artist, Gérard's work adorns many of Brisbane's social and leisure precincts.

He is also a well-known illustrator, and specialises in character design, caricature and cartooning.
