Jonathan Foster teaches Environmental, Western, and U.S. History at Great Basin College in Elko, Nevada. His books include Lake Mead National Recreation Area: A History of America’s First National Playground and Stigma Cities: The Reputation and History of Birmingham, San Francisco, and Las Vegas.
