Luc Watelet, LPC, was 17 when he knew he wanted to be a psychotherapist. He started pre-med to study psychiatry but soon realized medical school did not interest him. He took a couple of courses in psychology to find out they bored him. So he set off in mathematics and was very happy, at first. Since he did not want to settle for a life of research, he followed his advisor’s suggestion to do a Ph.D. in biostatistics. That’s when life started to seem a little off to Luc. He could do the work and enjoyed some of it, like someone enjoys doing crossword puzzles. But to do it as a career?
This was the beginning of the big questions, “What am I doing here?” “Who am I?” and “Where am I going?” These questions sent Luc off on a journey back to psychotherapy in a way he did not plan. This journey is the foundation for this book.
Luc loves life and the outdoors, including camping, hiking, and photography.
