Ruari McCallion

Ruari McCallion has been a freelance writer for over twenty years. Before that he was, variously, a DJ, musician, racing driver and investment analyst and adviser. He was also a marketing director of a contract furnishing company, with particular responsibility for the profits of a country pub...

He was born in England of Scottish parents and with Irish ancestry, and lived in Wales for five years while he went to College, in Swansea. This means he is qualified to play sport at an international level for any of the 'home nations' - if only he had the talent.

He now lives in Southern England, near the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Wessex.
