Kristen Epps

Kristen Epps is a historian of nineteenth-century America, with special interest in Bleeding Kansas, slavery and abolition, and the coming of the Civil War. She earned her bachelor's degree at William Jewell College before earning graduate degrees at The College of William and Mary and the University of Kansas. She currently teaches history at Kansas State University. Although a Westerner at heart, Kristen has lived in all four time zones in the lower 48 and loves learning about local communities.
