J. Michael Dumoulin is a 30-year Air Force veteran and a NASA retiree. He is an award-winning communicator, an exhibit designer, a writer and poet. The three-book set "Flatcreek Tales," released together, were his second, third and fourth books. His fifth book, a non-fiction titled "Followership: The Manual" (4th ed., 2020) explores leadership from a follower's point of view. "Great Nations Dare," his sixth book, is in legal review at NASA. In 2018 he released "A Frenchman's Duty," (3rd ed., 2023) now available in hardback, paperback, and as an e-book. In November 2019, J. Michael completed “The Threads that Bind,” currently posted for reviews and comments at jmichaeldumoulin.com, and a tabletop book of essays and illustrations, "Balanced on a Moment," was released in 2020.
Married for almost a half century, J. Michael and his wife Rosemary live in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, USA.
Colonel Dumoulin graduated with a Graphics Design degree from Florida State University, earned an Advertising B.S. from the University of Florida, and was awarded a Masters degree in Public Communications from Boston University. He also holds a post-Masters certificate in National Strategy from the Air Force's Air University.
