Steven Cobos

A native of Southern California, Steven Cobos is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara and the University of La Verne College of Law. He practiced law for twelve years and has been teaching adults since 1998.

The novel, The Truth Won’t Help them Now, grew out of discussions with his mother and co-author, Joan Hunter. Taking some episodes of Joan’s unpublished memoir as a jumping off point, the book uses family history and 1939 Los Angeles as a setting for a gangland murder mystery.

Steven lives in Southern California with his wife. They have two adult children.
