Bobby graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a B.S. in Police Administration (1981, with Distinction) and the University of Memphis with a J.D. degree in Law (1984). He has earned the designation Certified Protection Professional (CPP) through ASIS International (1986).
His professional career began as a law enforcement specialist with the United States Air Force Security Forces. Bobby then worked as a patrolman and director of Crime Prevention of the Richmond, Kentucky, Police Department. Following law school, Bobby was a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, then became an instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, leaving the agency as Division Chief of the Legal Division. He was appointed the Attorney Supervisor at the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training where he retired in 2002. Bobby focused on his consulting business until accepting a full-time position at Midway University. He retired as Department Chair at Midway to resume full-time consulting.
Bobby has taught full time and as adjunct faculty since 1989. In addition to legal and criminal justice courses, Bobby has taught Leadership, Ethics, Management, Supervision, Quality Management and Project Management. He has authored four books.
