Gary Reed

My love of books began when I was a child, but I didn’t decide to write novels until after my legal career. I chose to write contemporary and historical novels, sprinkled with quirky characters and a bit of humor. Perhaps because I cut my teeth on novels by Dickens, Orwell, and Steinbeck, my stories tend to be socially conscious. I hope my readers experience suspense and romance, tinged with a sense of the unexpected ways social injustices touch everyone.

I live in the Greater Cincinnati area, which serves as the geographic and political backdrop for my novels. A Fatal Cell Phone Video is a legal thriller set in Cincinnati, where I began my legal career. Things Could Get Ugly is set in Covington, Kentucky, my childhood hometown.
