Suzan Loeb

Suzan penned the original “Suzan Says” column in Marvel Comics romance comic books, wrote informational materials for a national non-profit organization in Las Vegas, Nevada, and retired from The Charlotte Observer in Charlotte, North Carolina.

A Brooklyn, New York native, she graduated from Long Beach High School, and the State University College at Buffalo. Currently residing in North Carolina, she is a devoted grandmother who enjoys telling stories to her beloved grandchildren.

An incident experienced by one of her granddaughters alerted Suzan to the need for a children’s book for families who celebrate both Chanukkah and Christmas. Unlike other books currently available this book (with pages to color!) uniquely addresses households where both Chanukkah and Christmas are observed. For children of interfaith families who celebrate both, the Elephant in this rhyming story has taken The Oath to make sure both festivities are fun.

With the success of this book, a second one, "The Elephant in the Spring" followed. It examines the similarities between Easter and Passover. Also for children of interfaith families who celebrate both in their own home, it encourages embracing traditions that unite us.
