Kevin Knauss

Kevin Knauss is an independent health insurance agent living in Granite Bay, California. Most of his writing for his website, www.insuremekevin.com, focuses on health insurance, Obamacare, Covered California and Medicare. He has a love of history, especially the history of early California during the gold rush era. This interest in 19th century California history led to the writing of Hidden History Beneath Folsom Lake which includes numerous photos he took of historical sites and old maps of the region before Folsom Dam was built and flooded the area under water. Research on Gold Rush activities led Kevin to write a biography of Benjamin Bugbey and Amos Catlin. Both men lived and worked along the American River and remained in the Sacramento region until their deaths.
