Susan Lowe

Susan Lowe (1958- ) was born in Fresno, California, a first generation American, (her mother immigrated to America in 1949 after escaping a Yugoslavian death camp). Susan is a retired licensed Marriage Family Therapist. She worked with clients from multiple backgrounds; maintained a private practice for over 30 years and has a heart for victims of trauma. In addition, she has taught psychology related courses at CSU-Fresno, Reedley College, and Madera Community College Center. Susan presently lives in Idaho with her husband.

Susan fell in love with books early on, and in grammar school developed a fascination with many genres. Discovering the magical experiences that books can provide led her to a love of writing. Realizing that her mother had lived through a horrific, often un-told portion of history prompted Susan to write JOSIE, her first book. This true story sheds light on this forgotten history to honor both the living and the dead of Tito's atrocity.
