Sarah Carleton

Sarah Carleton is an actress and creator living in Western, PA. In 2009 she completed an MFA degree in performance from the University of Louisville, with a focus on Shakespeare, movement, and multicultural theater, including studying in the University of Louisville's African American Theatre Program. For her graduate work she was awarded The Warren Oates Student Merit Award for, “outstanding contributions to the theatre program and for the promise of making significant contributions to the artistic community.” Her thesis project was a performance and written analysis of her role as Ophelia in Hamlet.

Sarah's work as a performer has included both film and stage work, including several performance pieces written by Sarah.

Using her undergraduate degree in English Education, Sarah has taught students in a variety of settings and to a range of ages since 2002. Bringing together her performance and education background she strives to create experiential and creative learning environments that provide safe spaces to learn.
