From his origins on a Colorado cattle ranch, D. Scott Wilson delved deep into the world of hard drugs and wild living before veering into eastern philosophy and academia, where he studied the same social outcasts he had embraced in his early teens. He’s studied life in the dark crevasses of the social order in several contexts in the U.S. and has enjoyed the opportunity to teach anthropology at the University of New Mexico and California State University Chico. He lives in the mountains of southern Oregon with his family where he writes, plays music, builds guitars and is regularly astounded by the beauty of this amazing planet.
