Kim Kelly is the author of twelve novels, all stories about Australia, its history and people. Among them are the bestselling The Blue Mile and critically acclaimed Wild Chicory. Her latest, The Rat Catcher, was shortlisted for the Viva La Novella literary award, and longlisted for the prestigious ARA Historical Novel Prize. She holds a Master of Creative Writing from Macquarie University, where she is currently undertaking graduate research into Australian historical fiction.
