Bob's Burgers

Bob’s Burgers, at its simplest level, is a show about a family that runs a burger restaurant. This domestic-meets-workplace premise lets us tell stories about the trials and tribulations of a struggling small business and the attainability of the American Dream, as well as relatable, humanistic stories of one family’s experience in the world.

Bob's embraces underdogs - the burger chef who never quite reaches success but always strives for artistic greatness; the wife who believes in him even when he doesn’t believe in himself. And it celebrates misfits - the awkward teenage girl who isn’t embarrassed to love butts and zombies; the son who's proud of his curves and deeply devoted to musicals; the anarchy-loving youngest daughter who prefers samurai movies and monsters to stickers and princesses.

The world of Bob’s Burgers is designed to feel like a well-worn, lived-in, grounded-but-colorful world where the paint is slightly peeled, the things are slightly scuffed and stained and that’s ok, where being a weirdo is beautiful, where achieving small victories and finding pleasure in small moments - perhaps breaking into song about them - can be life affirming.
