Steve Bell

Former mountain guide Steve Bell was a pioneer of the commercial expedition phenomenon. He led the first British guided ascent of Everest in 1993, and founded the UK mountaineering company, Jagged Globe, leading expeditions to all seven continental summits which he completed in 1997. Since emigrating to Australia in 2004, he uses his climbing stories to illustrate life lessons which have made him a sought-after keynote speaker.

Steve Bell lives nine metres above sea level, four rope-lengths from the ocean, on South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula with his wife, Rossy, with whom he shares seven children.
