Pooyan Moghaddassi

Pooyan Moghaddassi is a writer, poet, and lyricist, born in June 1982 in Tehran. He has published a collection of short stories (The Busy Highway of Anxiety) with Morvarid Publishing in Iran, a poetry collection (I Wish I Could Offer You a Pomegranate) and a novella (Summer of ’86) with H&S Media in London, a play (Inspection Tour of Words Under the Inquisition Banquet) with Ronak Publishing in the Netherlands, and another novella (The Vanished Ones) with Nogaam Publishing in London.

He has also been professionally active for many years in writing lyrics, especially socially and politically engaged songs. Numerous protest and social pieces written by him have been composed, performed, and released by various musicians and singers both inside and outside of Iran.

Moghaddassi currently resides in Vienna.
