Jack Stephens

Jack Stephens was born in a Northern African sardine fishing village in the early sixties to Sicilian parents. In his formative years, Jack was exposed to the Islamic culture and Arabic language, giving him the advantages seen in his creative writing and thinking skills.

At the age of eight, Jack’s family immigrated to a port city in South Africa, were he spent the next 18 years. After graduating with an economics degree, he started a career in journalism.

Jack is driven by aspirations and a deep inner awareness of self. His love for writing, eccentricity, wild imagination and cosmic awareness, has awoken his newly found passion for life, and resulted in him exposing a more in-depth, true self through his poetry.

Jack lives in Cape Town with his wife Kathy and children.
