Bhava Nath Dahal

Bhava Nath Dahal, from Nepal, is a professional accountant and taxation expert. He wrote 5 books in taxation, 1 in public procurement.

Apart from his excellence and expertise in his profession, he is an amateur mathematician. He developed new methods for trigonometric identities. There are 5 new techniques for determination of trigonometric values. Four of them results exact values of trigonometric ratios for all angles.

Classically, few of the trigonometric values were known to people and they were based on either √2, √3 or √5; he developed new methods for exact value for any angle (integer or decimal) based on √2 only.

Additionally, he suggested a decimal system model, named as Arc-Line method, to exact value (to user-defined precision level) of all angles using just simple arithmetic process. Using Arc-Line method, beginners can compute values of trigonometric ratios in elementary school level.

Newly developed method for trigonometry challenged classical method of trigonometry to the existing professional mathematicians.
