Sandra Hawkins

Sandra Hawkins believes baking belongs to everyone. For her, a plate of warm scones or a homemade cake is a wonderful excuse to put the kettle on, pull up another chair and enjoy good company.

A chemistry graduate of the University of Bristol with specialty cake training in London, Sandra combines a scientific approach with a love of British food history. Her English Teatime Treats books offer straightforward recipes and colorful stories to share over tea or coffee.

Her aim is to give bakers of every level the confidence to make something delicious and share it generously, without fuss or snobbery. From an everyday treat with a friend to a table full of goodies for a family celebration, she believes baking should be a pleasure from measure to munch!
