Steffen Herrmann

Dr. Steffen Herrmann is a philosopher and Scientific Director of the Research Center for Political Phenomenology. He teaches and conducts research at the Institute of Philosophy at FernUniversität in Hagen, Germany. His work focuses on political phenomenology, social philosophy, democratic theory, critical theory, and recognition theory. His books include Demokratischer Streit. Eine Phänomenologie des Politischen (2023), Ich – Andere – Dritte. Eine Einführung in die Sozialphilosophie (2018), and Symbolische Verletzbarkeit (2013). Also publishes as Steffen K. Herrmann and Steffen Kitty Herrmann.
