Rebecca Smith, PhD is a scientist-educator who has dedicated her career to supporting science teaching and learning in the public schools of San Francisco. As Co-Director of the UC San Francisco Science & Health Education Partnership, Rebecca designs innovative learning experiences that engage students, from youths to adults, as scientists, helping them to discover big ideas in science, learn how to think critically, and make conclusions using evidence. Rebecca is a founder of the Bay Area Science Festival and a contributing author of STEM to Story: Enthralling and Effective Lesson Plans for Grades 5-8.
