Jim Duffy will help you discover an American treasure—the Delmarva Peninsula. He’s that friendly, knowledgeable local, always ready to help you explore the storied Chesapeake Bay and coastal environments on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Virginia’s Eastern Shore, and in the state of Delaware.

Duffy and his wife, the photographer Jill Jasuta, moved to Maryland’s Eastern Shore in 2004. Duffy worked in journalism before that, earning dozens of writing awards at newspapers and magazines in Chicago and Baltimore.

An ace storyteller and travel writer, Duffy spins true tales from days gone by in a conversational style that brings people and places from the past back to vibrant life. He puts on popular storytelling shows around peninsula. He’s a regular on local TV, telling Throwback Thursday tales on WBOC-TV.

Some of his books deliver travel itineraries focused on the sites and stories that define Delmarva. Others tell only-on-Delmarva tales about the region’s heroes, villains, and everyday characters.
