A native of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Danny discovered his love of theatre at the age of nine in the fifth grade. He currently serves as the Fine Arts Department Chair at Falcon Cove Middle School in Weston, FL, where he teaches Theatre and Television Production. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida, Master's from the University of Miami, and Education Specialist from the University of West Florida.
He has studied in London (UK) at Shakespeare's Globe, taught English in China at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, and has served in advisory roles to several local theatres in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
Slowik discovered a love of theatre at the age of nine which continued through high school and college. While attending UCF, he could be seen on such iconic attractions as the Great Movie Ride and the "World Famous" Jungle Cruise. While attending graduate school at the University of Miami, he worked an additional two years for Disney's Latin America Marketing division as both intern and Video Production Assistant.
Now in his twenty-fifth year teaching theatre for Broward County Public Schools, he is most proud of the students (there have been more than 4,000 of them in total) who have chosen to pursue careers in the performing arts.

He loves everything related to Disney, Halloween, roller coasters, Harry Potter, science, and aviation.

1) He has visited four of Disney's six worldwide theme parks: California, Florida, France, and Shanghai.
2) He performed for Michael Jackson while working for Walt Disney World
3) He met Michael Jackson several years later while taking his students on a field trip to New York. "Michael let me shake his hand. The only rule from his body guard was, 'no pictures.'"
