Meet the Treitlers

In a lot of ways that count, the Treitlers are like many other families. A mom and dad and two kids, all of whom love each other, support each other, and enjoy spending time together. But in a very important way, they are also different.

Marc, the Trietler dad, is an alcoholic. And he comes from a family with alcoholics. So both genetically and environmentally, Marc was predisposed to become an alcoholic. And he did.

Their story is a happy one. Marc realized what his drinking could do to his family, and he voluntarily entered rehab and has been sober now for years.

Now together Marc, his wife Rowena, his daughter, Lianna, and his son, Bennet, have written My Dad is An Alcoholic, What About Me? to help young people avoid alcoholism.
