Natalie Koch

Natalie Koch is Professor of Geography at Syracuse University's Maxwell School for Citizenship and Public Affairs. She is a political geographer who works on state power and identity politics, empirically focusing on alternative sites of geopolitical analysis such as science and higher education, environmental policy, urban planning, spectacle, and sport. Geographically, her research is concerned with the Arabian Peninsula, where she studies the many transnational ties that bind the Gulf countries, actors, and ideas to other parts of the world.
