Lukas de Beer is an executive coach, musician and broadcaster who has spent more than 15 years helping people stop postponing the work that matters to them.
He played bass on more than 50 albums, mostly other people's songs, until an idea from psychologist Eric Maisel made him record his own. His debut album, Storm op Jupiter, was nominated for a Ghoema Award, and a couple of its songs went to number one. That decision became the seed of his book, Artrepreneur: A Field Guide for Creative Professionals, which grew out of his MPhil in Management Coaching at Stellenbosch Business School.
Lukas founded SmartCoaching, where he works with leaders and creative professionals, and has coached internationally as a Tony Robbins Results Coach. A radio voice since 2007, he hosted the morning drive show on Radio Cape Pulpit and still presents a weekly slot there.
He lives in Somerset West, South Africa, with his wife. They have three adult children.
