Sixteen years ago Staci Ericson was a stay-at-home-mom faced with the realization that her daughter chewed her food like a "horse." But, after pulling out her sketchbook and creating the multi-award winning game, Table Manners Cards, she was launched into mompreneurship. Among her awards are (Dr. Toy's Best, Family Review's Best Seal, Mom's Choice Gold Award and Creative Child Magazine's 2015 Product of the Year Award). Already a proponent of Emotional Intelligence, Mindful Breathing and Differentiated Learning she realized she had a passion for teaching civility. "I have a knack for getting kids to opt in to polite behavior," says Ericson who went on to found Golly Gee-pers a company devoted to researching, testing and developing resources that make it easy and fun for children to learn important social skills. Her first book, If a Very Important Person Invited you to lunch, looks at the internal motivation of children to use good manners. The Manners Fun book, puts the concepts of civility into games, activities and coloring pages and more. Staci lives in the San Francisco Bay area with her husband and two children.
