Tara Schiro

I’m a Los Angeles based writer and author focusing on the many facets of character and integrity, the emotional legacy it leaves, and the fruit of the Spirit. I’m a wife, a mother, a California Buckeye and an information trading post.

At the age of 34, I obtained a bachelor degree in English, Creative Writing, from California State University, Northridge. Publishing started with profile articles for Elite Magazine. Two blogs were next, "Running with Asthma" and "Write Your Life With Grace." My first book, "No Arms, No Legs, No Problem: When life happens, you can wish to die or choose to live," was published in December of 2014.

My passion is to understand our inner beliefs and behaviors and the emotional legacy they leave; whether they fulfill our destiny or sabotage our life with self-imposed chaos.

For too many years, my story was the latter. My character was in the way of just about everything: friendships, job opportunities, marriage, parenting, and most definitely my writing.

My second publication, a journal, "Write Your Life With Grace, Fruit of the Spirit Guided Journal," is the result of the long battle to choose to be healthy. It was oddly difficult to let go of the negative thought patterns and behaviors that were keeping me locked into a life of pretense. When dysfunction is a part of your DNA, it’s actually painful to mature through the emotional and spiritual healing. But as soon as I chose gratitude and forgiveness, the floodgates opened to receive the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control into my soul. This is the fruit promised by the Spirit, the inner disciplines that are available to change our outer circumstances no matter how big the storm. This is the blessing and the hope!

Come with me on this journey. Tell me your story, follow me on social media, and let’s dissect together what it looks like to write your life with grace.
