I love reading a good war novel but often find world war two fiction to be missing the brutality and grittiness of the world's most violent conflict. I strive to fill that gap and honor our veterans by keeping my stories gritty. My readers will find hard-hitting combat action and lots of it. The 164th Regiment Series has three books and one novella. The series follows the 164th Regiment's march towards Japan.

The Tark's Ticks Series is about an often overlooked chapter of WWII, the fall of the Philippines in 1942. Everyone has heard of the Bataan Death March, but what about the months long battle leading up to it? Sergeant Tarkington and his squad are in the thick of it in this gritty series.

I live in the hills of Southern Oregon overlooking the amazing Rogue Valley. When I'm not writing or reading, I'm spending time with my wife and sons, usually on a river or a mountain.
