Wendy Drexler is a writer, poet, editor, and has been nominated three times for a Pushcart Prize. Her newest poetry collection, Before There Was Before, will be published in March 2017 by Iris Press. Her first book-length collection, Western Motel, was published in April 2012 by Turning Point. Drive-ins, Gas Stations, the Bright Motels (Pudding House, 2007), a poetry chapbook, was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her poems have appeared in Barrow Street, Nimrod, Prairie Schooner, The Hudson Review, The Mid- American Review, Salamander, and many other journals; featured on Verse Daily and WBUR’s Cognoscenti; and in the anthologies Blood to Remember: American Poets on the Holocaust and Burning Bright: Passager Celebrates 21 Years. She was a Senior Editor at Educators Publishing Service (EPS) in Cambridge, MA, for ten years, and she has been a poetry editor for the Massachusetts Audubon Society. At Drumlin Farm Wildlife Society in Lincoln, MA, she inspected and monitored the nests of cavity-nesting birds such as bluebirds, swallows, and chickadees.
