Stacy Nelson, first published, Don't Knock The Hustle, in 2004. A decade later, she has decided to release a revised version in 2016. Her publishing imprint, Grip Publishing, has garnered recognition from Hip Hop artists and well known hustlers over the years. To this day, she still learns of the magnitude of her first novel from admirers and well-wishers.

The plan is to reclaim a position in the publishing industry to provide entertaining and heartfelt reading material to people of all walks of life. Grip Publishing has serious intentions to release other writers as well. Currently, the imprint publishes urban fiction, however, romance, thriller, and mystery novels are in the works.

Stacy Nelson, a very blunt woman, is active on social media. Some may make the mistake of assuming she is mild and meek. In contrast, she has been likened to a female version of Samuel Jackson, in attitude and delivery. She is the first author of her genre to have made herself available to her fans beyond book signings and events. Her readers could actually call and speak with her. She plans to continue that mark via social media that was not available in 2004.
