I`m Rena Bernstein. I`m a Polish Jew. Out of 30 thousand Jews in our South Eastern area of Poland

I am the only Jewish child survivor. Mother, Father and I were the only nuclear family to survive.

Our miraculous survival is documented in the Bitter Freedom memoir, written by my Mother, Jafa Wallach.

It is a miracle but accomplished by my optimistic and determined Mother who saved us from total despair.
