Sonya Connor

Sonya has always enjoyed reading and writing and especially reading with young ones. Starting with reading to children at her first job at a daycare center then on to daily reading with the children at her own in-home licensed daycare. She loved seeing the delight in their little faces as they learned and understood new things. One of her greatest rewards was when a mom thanked her for teaching her daughter how to read. Sonya believes that learning should be fun and enjoys writing in rhyme.

Her first book was Andy’s ABC Adventures, Andy goes to school. This book follows Andy from his first day of kindergarten and on through the school year as he learns new things about school. This book has been referred to as a 3 in 1 book by reviewers:

• Non-readers can start to recognize letters by following the large letter on each page

• Beginner readers can enjoy the poem being read to them from each page

• Advanced readers can enjoy the storyline on each page
