Michael Glover

Michael Glover was born in Fir Vale, Sheffield and educated at Firs Hill Primary School, Firth Park Grammar School, and Queens' College, Cambridge. Poet and art critic for the Independent, he is also the poetry editor of the Tablet. As an arts journalist, he has been a regular contributor to The Times, the Financial Times, the New Statesman and The Economist. He has also been a London correspondent for ArtNews, New York. His on-line, international poetry journal, The Bow-Wow Shop (www.bowwowshop.org.uk) first went online in 2009. His most recent books are: 111 Places in Sheffield You Should Not Miss, Playing Out in the Wireless Days and Great Works: Encounters with Art. Forthcoming later this year will be The Book of Extremities and Late Days, a picture book written in collaboration with his wife, the artist Ruth Dupré. Hypothetical May Morning is his eighth collection of poetry.
