Michael Eidam

Michael Eidam has worked in television comedy, journalism, and corporate communications, but his passion has always been to spin a good yarn. He has written three middle-grade novellas: the whimsical allegory A Delightful Bit of Nonsense (2024), and the humorous fantasy action-adventure stories Nightmare in Dragonland (2023) and Escape from Sjór Borg (2018)—the latter written as a promise to his nieces and nephews. His first novel, Medicine for Mankind (2016), satirized a power grab following a global pandemic long before Covid showed us how absurd things could get. Ever restless, Eidam has lived in all four corners of the U.S. and its middle. He’s even lived in a motorhome for a year, touring the western national parks and trekking across Europe. He currently lives in the space between his ears.
