Hi, and welcome to my page.

Thank you for taking the time to visit!

It's not easy to write a bio, is it? I hate those job interviews when they say 'tell me about yourself" and you think, well, where do I start.

An interesting fact, for me anyway. I lived the first five years of my life in a church next to the old Arsenal football ground, in Highbury, North London. There's a book in there somewhere. I digress. From there we moved to Highgate, near the famous Gothic cemetery, burial place of Karl Marx, and George Michael, and my grandparents! If you're interested in slightly spooky stories set in London and Venice, this is for you,'The Gypsy Warned You', my first book. It's not serious; it's a bit creepy, a bit romantic, and, hopefully, amusing. The main protagonist is my 20 something alter ego.

My second 'beach read' follows the same cast of characters to a haunted mansion in Dorset, England. It's 'The Bee's Knees, and Other Spirits', some real and some alcoholic. Recipes included!

'The Dead Man in the Tree,' deals with the more serious issues of murder, and unknown identity. Set in Ireland and Wales, it's the story of a young woman's search for her true identity.

And, finally, 'Joni'. Who is the small, mute child that Fran finds abandoned in her hoarder stepmother's house?

And how is she connected to Fran's sister Eve?

Just a few lines about my children's books before I run out of words or you get too bored.

It was our move to beautiful Rye Bay, in East Sussex, with its tiny medieval towns, and tales of secret tunnels and smugglers, that inspired me to write 'The Rye Bay Series'.

'Peri Periwinkle of Rye Bay' followed, when I discovered that old railway carriages once housed families who were fleeing London during the war. Then, there's Joe's Ghosts, (of Fairlight Folly); not for the faint hearted, though all is explained in the end, and, finally, 'The Hat, the Umbrella, and the Little White Gloves'. A charming tale, though I say it myself, of 6 children, who live in an old house in Paris, and the mysterious magician's hat that arrives on their doorstep one morning.

'The Cresswell Gang Series', illustrated, is now available in an easy to read font, age range 7-11. See Sean Holden's brilliant covers for a heads-up. Although, I must admit , Sean, I think Claude is incredibly ugly, even if he is a superhero! (Superhero Claude).

Reviews much appreciated.
