Di Reed has lived and written in the Outer Hebrides for over 26 years. Her first book, Celtic Fringe, is loosely based on her experiences of moving from Bradford, West Yorkshire, to a remote rural community on the Isle of Lewis, and the personal challenges, culture shock and eventual integration into a radically different way of life.
