Ryan Kershaw

Ryan Kershaw is a recording artist, and international music educator based in Ireland. During his private music tuition years 100% of his students undertaking college and university exams passed with Excellence marks. He served on the board of Independent Music New Zealand for 2 years, and in that time strengthened the bond between the music industry and music education in New Zealand, by bringing together leaders in both fields. He was mentored by Lorraine Barry (ex-head of Marketing Virgin Records Chemical Brothers, Spice Girls, Massive Attack) and studied under world leaders in self-development including Jack Canfield (Chicken Soup for the Soul Author, sales of 500,000,000).

In New Zealand, due to frustration at a lack of support for alternative acts, Ryan created the NZ Underground Festival which helped bands get to radio, and even saw a new band form and top the Reverb Nation charts. His interviews are designed to educate and help musicians, and he has enjoyed interviewing some of the worlds great guitar players including Zane Carney (live guitarist for John Mayer) and Preston Reed.

Ryan continues to write for Muzic.net.nz, Audioculture, and the Guitar Association of New Zealand and is preparing for the release of a new book and album in 2017.
